Our office is excited to announce we now offer nervous system scans with the Insight Millenium Subluxation Station. This is state of the art care that will change your life! It is completely non-invasive, measuring heat imbalances and electrical activity and Heart Rate Variability in regard to spinal and general health.
This is the only form of diagnostic equipment that can be performed on infants and small children. This machine is so non-invasive that people of all ages (even the elderly) should have such scans to ensure that the spine and nervous system are functioning properly. A detailed evaluation is offered from the scan. The readouts provided are very easy to read, even for the patients! The results of the scan can tell you if there is a problem and how you are responding to care.
What Exactly is the "Scan"? The Insight Millenium Subluxation Station uses computerized technology certified by the Space Foundation and used by NASA. It was developed to help chiropractors locate nerve interferences and vertebral subluxations, which cannot be seen on an X-Ray, more precisely. The scan consists of 3 tests. Surface EMG evaluates the function and efficiency (or lack of) of the muscles that support your spine. This test shows the pattern of how energy is distributed through these muscles. It will also identify areas and patterns of abnormal tension and stress. Muscle spasm is accompained by muscular hyperactivity which can be evaluated by electromyographic techniques. By measuring muscle activity, known as the motor system's 'miles per gallon', your progress can be followed as your care progresses.
The Thermal Scan is used to assess the part of your nervous system that helps to control your organs, glands, and blood vessels-the Autonomic System. Proper function of your glands and blood vessels is essential to healing and living. Remember, your body heals itself when functioning at it's best. There are two factors looked at in the tests, symmetry (left side, right side) and pattern. The instrument does this by precisely measuring differences in temperature along the spine. Differences in temperature from side to side are maintained within strict limits in healthy persons.
The Pulse Wave Profiler is an objective measure of adaptibility and level of function of the two divisions of the Nervous System-Sympathetic and Parasympathetic. The test measures your heart rate and results in an activity and balance index. This index shows adaptability to care and balance of your nervous system. A decreased Heart Rate Variablity shows risks that your body may be at risk for disease. All three tests produce indexes that show you and
the doctors where you fall within a range (kind of like a test grade), in which then a more accurate care schedule can be recommended from those numbers.
